So. You'd think I'd have accepted it by now, but I can't believe how cliche-crazy I've become. It must be parenthood, but can you believe Luke turns three years old on 4.12.04? Here it comes...time flies!
I was looking back through this website at the history of News stories. It's been a full three years, but I remember writing the stories prior to Luke's birth (here comes another one) like it was yesterday. Anyway, what a great thing to celebrate. Luke has become an exquisite young boy. He loves to read, play with trains and play with trucks in the sandbox. His favorite (and only?) foods are peanut butter and ice cream.
To celebrate, he had a party with his friend, Matthew Cuyler, whose birthday is April 10th. Libby and Matt's mom, Sue, did an amazing job of putting together the entire affair. The party was held at Luke's daycare, and it turned out to be the perfect spot for nearly thirty kids to party. Luke's favorite part was eating the cake.
Ben was not jealous of all the attention for his brother, and he enjoyed the party. He loves doing ANYTHING his big brother is doing, and Luke usually tolerates him. Occasionally, Luke is surprisingly sweet and occasionally he likes to see if Ben is ready to wrestle with him yet. Ben is really enjoying his newfound mobility. He crawls faster than I can and is trying out some no-hand standing.
A random note about the pictures. Our Australian friend, Spinner Howland, and his girlfriend passed through from FL for a wedding here in Boston. I told him if he let me take his picture, I'd make him famous....
Enjoy.
