Another National Championship comes to Boston and so did my sister. The Boston College Eagles won the hockey Frozen Four National Championship this season. We went to one game earlier in the year and watched the tournament on TV.
The boys were pretty fired up about the win so they went to the victory celebration at BC on a Monday afternoon. They got the ENTIRE team to autograph their jerseys. It's simply impossible to explain to them that your team doesn't always win. They're going to have to learn the hard way some day.
My sister and her family came to our new pad for the first time. The first time my neice, Madeline, came to Newton. Luke really loves his cousin and was more interested in her than she was in him, but it was a sweet mix. Ben loved her, too, as long as no Lego's were involved.
While they were here, we went to Luke's 7th birthday party. Twenty-two seven-year olds in a rented movie theater watching Star Wars Episode II. Not exactly quiet time. Given the age and maturity ranges of the kids, we were a little concerned about the movie being too scary in parts. The comment of the day came as the main characters were about to kiss: Oh! Here comes the scary part!
Some pretty good pictures of BC and the Martindale's trip. Also, the family went to a Red Sox day game during vacation week while I attended a Patient Adherence Conference in Philadelphia. Justice.
