We made an effort to get Luke exposed to some winter activities since there is plenty of winter around here. It seems to have paid off. He loved skating, which he did EVERY Saturday --including Christmas Eve day--for about three months. He was really into it, and I was too. Ben is still not really into the cold. He was luggage EVERY Saturday for about three months. Next year....

Luke and Kate Ahmann were kind enough to host us at their cool, new pad in Burlington, VT for a day of skiing at Sugarbush. It was Luke Foster's first time on skis, and he had a good time. It was very similar to skating--turning and stopping were not as important to him. I, on the hand, found turning and stopping to be critical and a little more difficult than on my last attempt. It was icy, but Libby and I seem to have escaped without permanent damage.
