Foster's 2023

Today we had the Level 2 ultrasound. Wow! There are signs of serious life in the womb.
That imparts a whole new series of emotions and implied responsibility. I wonder if Dad will be able to handle it...being called Dad, that is.
Anyway the ultrasound went perfectly. The baby was unbelievably active. Even the doctor remarked that the child would not keep still. It was dodging the pressure of the ultrasound device on Libby's stomach, and it was hilarious.
We caught one dodge on camera. As the doctor was pushing with the device, the baby made an agressive move to twist away and move to the other side of the womb. No. I'm not Elmer Fudd.
Needless to say, passing this stage is quite relieving. The baby appears to be healthy and "normal." It is so very life-affirming and exciting, and it's really brought Libby and I closer together. All the hype about the joys of pregnancy seem to be true.
Can't wait to introduce the new Foster to the world!
